Mercury is the first planet in the solar system and it can be created in various stages across the Katamari Series. Mercury is first created in We ♥ Katamari in the Underwater stage, created again in the Oasis Café in Beautiful Katamari, and again in Make a Star 5 - Underwater in Katamari Forever.
Appearance[]
Mercury is mostly blue, hinting that it's a water world given the fact that all the levels that involve creating Mercury has to be liquid related. There appears to be a layer on the outside of the planet covered in spots and a core of the planet that is covered in stripes. It's satellites in We ♥ Katamari and Beautiful Katamari is just the core of the planet there is only one of them in We ♥ Katamari and up to nine of them in Beautiful Katamari. In Katamari Forever there is a total of four Mercuries that can be created.

We ♥ Katamari[]
- A fresh and youthful new Mercury. It’s 99 percent ocean, and the rest is a very thin skin.
- It’s made of fresh water. There aren’t too many things living on it yet.
Beautiful Katamari[]
- All water with no place to rest. Reminds Us of swimming lessons.
Katamari Forever[]
- A water-logged planet. Dreaming about swimming while you’re here could be the overture to a morning tragedy.
- This planet moves at least two times normal speed. The constant splashing and spraying can be a nuisance.
- This planet’s many species of rare fish are its claim to fame.
- All water with no place to rest. Reminds Us of swimming lessons.
Trivia[]
- In Touch My Katamari, in The Great Journey, the player is able to enter the Cosmos and see the Solar System, if Mercury is rolled up, it'll read as "Comet" instead of Mercury.
