Michiru Hoshino is the daughter of the Hoshino family and the daughter of Tomino Hoshino and Mizue Hoshino and sister to Mutsuo Hoshino. She was introduced in Katamari Damacy and has appeared in all the main-series games. She has the unique ability to connect with The Cosmos, sensing whenever something is amiss. Her description on Katamari on the Web reads: "Mutsuo's younger sister. She usually has a very quiet personality. She is a normal girl except for the occasional Cosmo feeling."[1]
In Katamari Damacy, Michiru and Mutsuo appear in the cutscenes. A unique cutscene for each constellation stage will play after completion, in which Michiru will state "Oh, I feel it! I feel the Cosmos!" and talk about the constellation.

In We ♥ Katamari, upon completing the game, Michiru will appear in the meadow, hosting a bonus stage. This unlocks credits stage, perhaps alluding to the 'moon memorial' in Katamari Damacy, where you can view the previous game's credits stage. She also appears in the PAL region and Japanese versions of the game in added bonus scenes from the original game.
In Beautiful Katamari, Michiru and Mutsuo appear in a train that travels around The Princedom, which the player can hop into.
In Katamari Forever, Michiru appears with her family riding a rocket off into space in the opening cutscene. She then appears at the end of Go! Jumboman!, stating she felt that "the Cosmos were slowly falling asleep."
In the webcomic, Michiru helps the prince roll up the UFO and gives him a message from Daisy. She is frequently shown "feeling the cosmos".
Michiru wears a yellow sweater with a yellow and white skirt. She wears her hair in two buns, held up with pink bands. She wears an orange backpack and orange shoes.
