Around the release of We ♥ Katamari, many giveaways were done to advertise the game. One of the possible prizes was a box of jumbo We ♥ Katamari playing cards. For example, at Next Generation World Hobby Fair Winter 2005, they were used as a participation award.[2] In the Beautiful Katamari Matching Game, after winning, the player would have been rewarded with a download that contained two zip files featuring these cards, which could be printed out.[3]
