The Prince Hop is an ability that the Prince and Cousins can use to make the Katamari he or she is pushing jump. It is introduced in Katamari Forever.
The Prince Hop is performed by flicking the controller, or pressing R2. The player's character jumps, with the Katamari bouncing into the air with the character. This allows the player to reach higher areas and cross short gaps without resorting to ramp jumps or having to climb up walls.
The Prince Hop is seen in the introduction of Katamari forever when the King is teaching the Prince how to perform a high jump.
This ability is not present in Classic mode.
